He has served in higher educational institutions in Ethiopia in the capacity of lecturer for 10 years. Previously, he worked as a senior human rights expert, program manager and project coordinator at the Tigray Human Rights Advocacy Network (THRAN). He currently serves as Executive Director of THRAN, leading Human rights Advocacy, education, training, research, monitoring and investigation to uphold human rights, advance Transitional justice and foster peace building in Tigray, Ethiopia.
