    Position: Project Officer

    Bio: Sellou Jallow is a transitional justice and peacebuilding specialist with over five years of experience advancing human rights, accountability, and inclusive governance in The Gambia. He currently serves as a UN Volunteer Project Officer at UNDP under the EU-GREAT Project, where he supports the broader transitional justice, rule of law, and human rights agenda through cross-support to Outcome 2, which enhances the effectiveness of transitional justice mechanisms in line with TRRC recommendations. He has worked with the International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ), where he coordinated a UN Peacebuilding Fund Project empowering over 250 youth through dialogues, trainings, and advocacy on transitional justice and peacebuilding. He also supported the drafting of a user-friendly summary of the Government White Paper on the TRRC Report, translating complex legal and policy documents into accessible resources for public awareness and advocacy. At the American Bar Association (ABA ROLI), he supported the Promoting Rights and Justice (PRJ) Project, contributing to MEAL framework design and implementation during The Gambia\'s transitional justice processes. He has collaborated with civil society organizations, government agencies, and UN partners, facilitating trainings on human rights, transitional justice, and youth, peace, and security. Sellou is a member of the African Youth for Transitional Justice (AY4TJ), a youth-led network launched by the African Union Commission, and Our Nation Our Voice (ONOV), a Gambian movement using art, music, poetry, advocacy, and training to engage young citizens in transitional justice and peacebuilding processes. He holds a Certificate in Advanced Design, Monitoring & Evaluation from the United States Institute of Peace and a Bachelor\'s Degree in Development Studies from the University of The Gambia. He is committed to contributing to transitional justice, peace and security, and inclusive youth participation in sustainable development.
